July 24 2023

Every day, security officers are on the frontline and behind the scenes to keep the people and property safe.

Celebrated annually on the 24th of July - symbolic of the 24/7 nature of our industry - International Security Officers’ Day serves as an opportunity to recognise and thank those who work on the frontline and behind the scenes to keep us safe.

To show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of people who work on the frontline and behind the scenes, Wilson Security are shining a light on the industry. Wilson Security are distributing the 2023 ISOD pins to our workforce as a small reminder that they are part of such an important industry.

Stephen: Becoming a Security Manager has provided me with the discipline and knowledge to lead a great team of Security Officers. This makes me enjoy coming to work daily.

Meeting and working alongside great people is definitely one of the highlights of my Security career. I have learned discipline and leadership go hand in hand with being a great Security Manager. Leading a team of Security officers that enjoy coming to work is very rewarding, and as I say, great things always start from the top.

Being able to assist people when they are in a difficult situation or helping those that have had the misfortune of running into trouble is part of the daily life of a Security Officer & dealing with those challenges can be very rewarding.

I have been in the security industry for over 18 years; this has proven that this is where I belong."
