KARI Aboriginal Women's Wellbeing Conference

12th July 2022
Wilson Security was delighted to partner with the KARI Foundation to hold the inaugural Aboriginal Women’s Wellbeing Conference in Sydney.
Designed to empower Aboriginal women through culture, spiritual, mental, and physical wellbeing, the amazing team at KARI delivered a truly inspiring event.
Our 3 year commitment to this initiative will ensure that the event becomes bigger and better in the years to come. We are pleased to continue working with the KARI Foundation and providing these events in the future.
Artwork Storyline
This artwork titled “Connect, Inspire and Empower” depicts a visual representation of the Women’s
Wellbeing Conference. At the centre of the artwork is the Women’s Wellbeing Conference proudly supported by Wilson Security and hosted by KARI.
Branching off the centre are the core focus areas of the conference Culture, Health, Wellbeing, Support Services and Advocacy, Legal Advice, Financial Counselling and Employment and Self-development Opportunities.
The yarning circles at the outer edge of the artwork represent the safe space for women to be able to share in the knowledge of their sisters and be empowered through the various sessions making an investment in themselves and their future.
In the background of the artwork features the women from across the region that will attend the Women’s Wellbeing Conference.
Being able to connect after such a long time is very important and through this event women will be able to equip themselves with the information, strategies and tools they need to feel more motivated to be advocates for change within their own local communities. It’s time to “Connect, Inspire and Empower”.
Wilson Security Partnership supporting Aboriginal Women
The KARI Foundation and Wilson Security have partnered across a multi-year contract to deliver supported programs for Aboriginal women.
KARI Foundation brings Aboriginal culture and excellence into wider community life through its people, advice and support.
A key highlight of our partnership is the Aboriginal Wellbeing Conference, an opportunity for women to be empowered through experiences of culture, spiritual, mental, or physical wellbeing. It provides an opportunity for women to talk about their hopes for the future, to strengthen existing ties, build upon relationships, to share, to heal, and to unite.
We look forward to supporting KARI in their aim to strengthen Aboriginal culture to drive belonging, connection and a sense of community.
