21 March 2024

For the third consecutive year, Wilson Security has proudly supported the Kari Foundation during their annual Kari Aboriginal Women's Wellbeing Conference & Expo in Sydney.

Since partnering 2021, Wilson Security has supported the Kari Foundation to design and host the annual conference which brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women from communities across New South Wales.

Wilson Security’s partnership with the Kari Foundation extends beyond sponsorship says Wilson Security General Manager NSW, Christine Thornton.

“It's a commitment to fostering connection and empowerment within Indigenous communities. The conference serves as a vital platform for women to access essential services, engage culturally, and most importantly, connect with each other.”

The conference, celebrating its third year, is a beacon of empowerment for women.

“It's a space where they can connect and be empowered culturally, spiritually, mentally and physically. More than just an event, it's an opportunity for women to immerse themselves in their community, nurture bonds, and forge a stronger sense of unity,” Christine said.

Kari Foundation CEO Casey Ralph presented Christine and Chris Davies, National Indigenous Engagement Manager with a framed piece from the Kari team who wove individual circles and then joined them together with our Group RAP colours for the palette.

“The weaving is an important form of storytelling and tells the story of our partnership with Kari that weaves First Nations ways of being, knowing and doing to ensure women are connected, inspired and empowered,” Chris said.

Wilson Security looks forward to supporting the Kari Foundation in the future with the next conference on the Central Coast.
