How a clear path to recognition is rocket fuel for the Wilson Security team

The \STRIVE\ Awards are not just accolades. They are a testament to the commitment and excellence our team members exhibit daily across the country.
These awards are a core component of our ethos, helping us to demonstrate how our staff across the organisation bring our values to life in their work every day.
Recognising those who go above and beyond
Initiated in response to the 2020 Employee Engagement Survey, the \STRIVE\ Awards were designed to spotlight and honour those across Wilson Security who go the extra mile in their role to make a significant impact within the company, for our clients and in the communities we serve.
The \STRIVE\ Awards were introduced in 2021 across the Wilson Group to all employees, including permanent or fixed-term, full-time or part-time and casual employees. Winners are recognised monthly for our Wilson Security, Wilson Parking and First Security employees and quarterly for all other Wilson Group employees.
This Group wide initiative is a deepening of our commitment to celebrating our employees' achievements. And by rewarding creative solutions, Wilson Group continues to see processes and services improved across its brands.

A growing force for good at Wilson Security
Since its inception, the STRIVE program has received almost 4,000 nominations, resulting in over 560 monthly winners to date – a testament to this initiative's widespread impact and appreciation across the organisation.
By celebrating the exceptional contributions of our employees and aligning nominations to our core values, these awards underscore the principles that guide us every day: Care, Integrity, Accountability, and Innovation.
The Wilson Security \STRIVE\ Awards – with its categories of Field, Office and Bravery - have profoundly influenced Wilson Security and significantly improving employee engagement and overall performance.
From whole teams working effectively together in search and rescue operations to individuals identifying clear risks to the community, past winners of /STRIVE/ have shown how empathy, leadership and strong action can be combined to often have lifesaving impacts.

Boosting Morale and Inspiring Excellence
Employee engagement has been notably enhanced through the \STRIVE\ Awards, with an impressive 83% of employees reporting increased pride in their association with Wilson Security. This sense of pride stems from recognising and celebrating employees' hard work and dedication.
Recognising employees' efforts has shown to lead to a significant increase in their engagement levels with their work. Research from Quantum Workplace shows that employees who believe they will receive recognition for their work can be as much as 2.7 times more likely to exhibit high engagement in their roles.
Sharing the stories of the monthly \STRIVE\ Award winners - via LinkedIn and internally the Wilson Group intranet - not only celebrates their achievements but also serves as a source of inspiration across the organisation.
Additionally, we produce professional videos that enable the Employee of the Year nominees to tell their stories and share what makes them proud to be a finalist, further highlighting their contributions and the impact of their work.
